Paul Ryan came out with his new political ad "House Budget Trailer: America Deserves A Better Path" about his slash and burn 2013 budget, and the video is filmed on the grounds of Congress, which is totally against House Ethics Rules, here is a screenshot:

The House buildings, and House rooms and offices including district offices are supported with official funds and hence are considered official resources. Accordingly, as a general rule, they may not be used for the conduct of campaign or political activities.

(35,392 posts)after she was sworn in as the first female Speaker of the House. All the cries (oddly enough, from people who had no problem with a Republican doing the same thing when he was sworn in as Speaker) were about how it was "not right" for her to do such a political thing ...
