have changed. A lot more Latinos. Also, in FL, a lot of influx of non Cuban Latinos, though younger Cubans are increasingly Democratic. And also GA and other States are getting more Latinos.

So, if the Republicans want to continue with this anti Latino stuff, I say go for it. It can only help us.

I say southern Dems are amazing. It's easy to be a liberal up here in Connecticut. Really easy. Not so easy in the south.

I'm in rural eastern Kentucky and some of the folks here really think liberals are going to hell. Some of my extended family thinks that way, but they are conservative Church of Christ people and think most people besides them are going to hell anyway! The younger generation is rejecting a lot of that type of thought, thank God. I will keep fighting and thank you all for giving those of us in the South a shout out. Thank you voters in the North too. I actually thanked God for you all last night and I mean that sincerely!

run into each other, we know by the 'signs', not secret handshakes, but intelligence, sense of humor, lack of looney religiosity, generosity, open-mindedness. It is a beautiful thing to make contact with a kindred spirit, here in the jungle.

5. I STILL don't know if Florida is red, blue, lilac or what!

I can't believe that Florida is still not decided. At least THIS time the entire Presidential race is not dependent on my state!

It looks as though we're going to have to wait for all the absentee and provisional ballots to be counted. Since so many provisional ballots were cast because of True the Vote challenges, and so many cast absentee ballots because of the limited days for early voting, I'm hoping that they push President Obama past the point of a required recount.

ETA: What's with MSNBC's numbers?
From the Florida BOE:
Romney / Ryan
REP 4,094,952
49.29%
Obama / Biden
DEM 4,141,618
49.85%

From MSNBC:
Barack Obama 50% 4,129,360
Mitt Romney 49% 4,083,321

Why are the MSNBC numbers still off?

6. Yeah, it's a bit frustrating going to the polls in a deep red state....

Especially when the outcome is a forgone conclusion, but I'm damned sure gonna' keep voting in every election. My son got to vote for his first time this year, I took him with me to early voting. Even though our vote didn't get the President any electoral votes from our state my son at least took part in history by voting to re-elect our first black President.

Also note: my community sent a Democrat (of those contests up for election) to the Tennessee state house last night, too.

It's southern Dems who I think of when people talk about wanting secession to occur in our nation. We can never lose sight of the fact that even in the reddest states, there are millions if not tens of millions of good progressive people who only make our nation better, and who will over time lead the South to a better and more progressive day.

But it does get discouraging.
My Alabama 'fellow citizens gave it to Rmoney, 2-1, put Roy '10 Commandments' Moore back in as Chief Justice, and there is now not one statewide office held by a Democrat.

But I don't think they want us to secede with them anymore...too many dark people here and all those educated folks up here in Northern Virginia who actually KNOW STUFF are a real drag on 'freedom'.

USA! USA! USA!!!
