No, she will get a Ka-BOOM!
Star power, no punches pulled speeches, leaving the hate and polemics to the Republicans, WHAT a difference!

(2,792 posts)If people see and hear what is really happening in this convention, that will shatter the illusory mainstream media narrative about Hillary.

(16,973 posts)before I opened it. It's really been an absolutely powerful and substantive convention. Like you said, star power and much more. It resonates on so many levels.

(14,586 posts)The starkest difference between two candidates I've EVER seen in my life.
There is only ONE decision to make and that is for Clinton.

(7,963 posts)granted, I have been bogged down with work and have not been able to catch everything. from what I have seen and heard from people, though, it sounds like a success. the only people saying otherwise are msnbc, repugs, and some trolls on here.
You're BACK!
Sorry if I've missed you earlier. WELCOME!

(54,435 posts)Yes, I figured it was time. I hoped that most of the ugliness was done with, at least on this board, and it seems that was the case. I explained why I left and why I was back a couple of days ago: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10028042336

Anything that happens during the daytime, they likely won't see, and will be exposed to in highly edited, and pundit colored, soundbites.
Just like CBS News' false headline "Bernie supporters walk out of the DNC!" where it made it seem like a huge number of Bernie supporters walked out. The true tally was about 40, maybe 50, out of more than 1800. So, uh, 2%?

Our country has the opportunity to do great things with HRC and more democrats elected this election.

(54,435 posts)Many accounts said it never really happened like the legend says, but during one of his campaigns against Eisenhower in the fifties, one woman was supposed to have called out to him "you have the support of every thinking American!" His answer, as legend has it, was, "That's not enough. I need a majority!"

(205,839 posts)We certainly have heard some great speeches! And there's certainly no comparison to the RNC contentless hatemongering, though I admit that I just couldn't take it anymore and had to turn off the Trumpeter, not that it's anything I need to hear, anyway. I was fortunate to see and hear Bill Clinton in person back in 2006 when he came to my burg (NY-20) to campaign for my congresswoman, Kirsten Gillibrand. This is a traditionally Republican area, but it was SRO and he certainly charmed the crowd, no big surprise. And he absolutely brought it home again tonight!

(54,435 posts)At the house where we're currently staying, we have the option of seeing an unfettered feed right from the convention, or MSNBC, with their talking heads. What a difference!
It seems, much to my dismay, that MSNBC, in some misguided effort to remain "even-handed," is putting a negative spin on just about everything they comment on (they only failed with Michelle Obama's speech--even they couldn't tear that one down). Every speech by a Democrat has its negative points (whereas Republican hate diatribes were "forceful" . Small ones are tuned out entirely. The only Sanders delegates they think are worth talking to are ones that will not be voting for HRC in November.
At the Denver convention in 2008, on the last night, they brought in some farmer from Indiana named Barney Smith, who said he was going to vote for a Democrat for president for the first time in his life. He had one of the best lines of the whole convention. He said, "I want a president who cares more about Barney Smith than Smith Barney!" About 50,000 of us were cheering Bar-NEY! Bar-NEY! I never heard a word about it later, so I have to assume the media tuned him out and went to commercial break, because after all, who had ever heard of Barney Smith?
