Donald Trump implies Vladimir Putin uses the 'n' word to describe Barack Obam
The election campaign plunged has plunged to new a level of accusation and toxicity when Donald Trump claimed Russia leader had no respect for Barack Obama and appeared to imply he used a racial epithet to describe him.
Speaking to reporters in Florida and asked about the controversy surrounding the Russian hacking of Democratic National Committee emails, Mr Trump said that Vladimir Putin had neither respect or affection for Mr Obama. He implied that he had heard the Russian leader use a racial slur to describe the US president.
“I was shocked to hear him mention the n word,” Mr Trump said. “You know what the n word.”
He added: “I was shocked. He has a total lack of respect for Barack Obama. and he doesn’t like him.”
Mr Trump has found himself dragged into the controversy surrounding the hacking of DNC emails, around 20,000 of which were released by Wikileaks. At the weekend, Hillary Clinton’s spokesman claimed that Mr Trump was favoured by Mr Putin and that he was somehow behind the effort to to embarrass the Democratic Party.

P.S. Please don't ever, ever, ever...ever tut tut me when I say Donald Trump is a uniquely bad guy. He has repeatedly shown contempt for democratic norms and the rule of law.
