Good news in the polls could be our downfall in November

If Hillary seem to be way ahead in the polls on election day it could suppress turn out, and Trump could slip through. We have to work hard as if we are behind and not stop, making sure that we get all of our voters out. Trump will be getting all of the red necks, many who may not have voted before to vote, so we can not let up in our fight.

1. Your premise can be flipped if Hillary were trailing Trump.

Voter turn-out could be low as her loss could be considered a fait accompli.

No matter how well or not well Hillary does in the polls, we have to focus on two things: registering new voters and getting them to the polls in November.

4. There needs to be a big GOTV campaign

Obama had a very well organized GOTV campaign in 2008 and 2012, that needs to be repeated in 2016 by the Clinton campaign.

I am still waiting to hear if there is anything being organized.

I'll be very disappointed if Clinton's isn't at least as good. I doubt the Thugs will have a repeat of the voter turnout disaster they had four years ago. Keep in mind that until Obama came along the GOP was said to have a better voter turnout program than us good guys.

13. It is already being organized.

Go to Hillary's website. Click on the "Act" button. There are several things you can do in GOTV efforts. I phone-bank from the UK, since I can't canvass there. I call people and ask them to sign up as volunteers for various GOTV Hillary events.

There will be no slacking on organization from Hillary's campaign. But we have to pick up the ball.

The candidate ahead in the polls has better turnout because the candidate whose behind has no enthusiasm from their voters.

Still, volunteer, donate, blog, work harder than ever. This is our chance to remake American Government. The stakes have never been higher. This is like the big pot at the end of a long night of poker, we have a chance to win it and build a huge chip lead.

I am not counting on the "be part of the winning team" to get the job done. we need a big Get Out The Vote operation.

9. Read about the Bandwagon Effect

Folks like to be on the side of the winner:

The bandwagon effect is a psychological phenomenon in which people do something primarily because other people are doing it, regardless of their own beliefs, which they may ignore or override. The bandwagon effect has wide implications, but is commonly seen in politics and consumer behavior.

14. If someone is going to vote at all. The presidency is the one vote they'll cast.

I'm one of those voters. Mayor, Governor, school bonds if I have time I'll go stand in line to vote, but the presidency is an event. As a self described "fair weather" voter I'm setting out of this.
