In an impromptu statement to CNN, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton took the gloves off regarding her opponent Republican nominee Donald Trump.
A reporter asked, Secretary Clinton, the reason that Donald Trump says he makes so many of his products overseas is because of the market, that its just too expensive to do it here right now and that he would change that market as president.
The former First Lady and Secretary of State shook her head and said, You know, when you run for president, you need to be judged by what you have done and I think the evidence is pretty clear. Everything hes made, hes made somewhere else. Hes not put Americans to work. Hes imported foreign workers instead of hiring Americans at his country clubs and resorts. She went on, He has cheated contractors. I take that personally. My father was a small businessman and he got contracts.
She said that she didnt know what would have happened to her family if people had reneged on their agreements to pay her father. And Ive met people who were destroyed by Donald Trump, she said, so take a look at what hes done, not what he says. Thank you.

(8,377 posts)She looks like she it having some fun pressing his buttons. That means the next 24 hours he is going to waste all of his time saying all sorts of stupid things about why he offshores everything. I imagine Hillary's people have the next 30 days full of buttons they will push once a day. This guy has no discipline at all.
But back on the previous buttons, how is it that a guy running for President could have a wife who lies about her education, and then we find out that she was actually a stripper -- er, I mean "model" -- yet she she failed to enter the country on a work visa. Didn't Trump vet his own wife?

(14,891 posts)One candidate will face two trials for fraud and racketeering after the election. That same candidate will appear in court in september on charges he raped a woman who says she was 13 at the time (and she has a witness).
The other candidate faces no charges, and isn't being sued for anything.
Who has a record of helping create jobs and doing more for the middle class?
Why are we still not hearing any of this?

(3,702 posts)contractors - that whole "presidential calm demeanor" dropped when she mentioned her daddy - it was awesome.
Every now and then, she gets "real" as in lets her emotion show through (Obama has done it a few times too-usually after a mass shooting) and that is when I feel the most confident that she will get the job done.
She doesn't have to be an emotional wreck like Boehner or throw tantrums like Trump to let her passion show.

Trustworthy. Caring. Intelligent. Crafty. Those are qualities I and my family will be proudly voting for in this election.
It really wouldn't matter who ran against her, she'd have our votes. Poor poor Drumpf. He just got in the way.

(52,387 posts)i do think it horrifying that he sticks it to his business partners, and worse, that he thinks he can manage the nation's debt by reneging on its commitments to bondholders.
that said, i think a lot of people see this as the kind of tough negotiation that they want in an authoritarian leader.
it's only if we can show that reneging on contracts has really cost him that this line of attack really works effectively.
