To bad it wouldn't run smack into a UFO.

I'd rather he suffered a mild MI at 8pm CST on election night after getting his tiny little wanker stuck in the world's smallest penis pump.
That would absolutely ensure we never had to hear from him again. Ever.

(12,448 posts)Thanks for that. I badly needed a laugh after hearing about this monster's threat on Hillary's life.

(11,605 posts)I don't think there has ever been an election in US history where a candidate called for his opponent to be assassinated. That is just downright scary.
What do you want to bet the MSM, if they cover this, will try to draw a false equivalence to Hillary's Robert Kennedy comment in 2008? Even under the worst interpretation of that comment, no reasonable person could have concluded that she was calling for Obama to be assassinated.

(456 posts)They'll spin to say that's not what he meant. Folks aren't dumb Don. We know what you were insinuating. The part about "thats going to be a sad day folks." Was really a indicative of what he meant. They just going to let him get away with this?

(4,033 posts)The former head of the CIA, retired Gen. Michael Hayden, told CNN's Jake Tapper: "If someone else had said that said outside the hall, he'd be in the back of a police wagon now with the Secret Service questioning him."(Emphasis added)
...
Hayden added: "You're not just responsible for what you say. You are responsible for what people hear."

(3,714 posts)No matter how the matter is parsed, Trump's comments are clearly calling the single-issue 2nd amendment gun owners to bring their armed power threats into the fray.
He is saying that within the Trump tribe trying to stop Madame President, the only political power with enough clout is in the not yet cold dead hands of the armed segment of their big-pup-tent tribe.

(42,862 posts)... and try to make you believe he meant something different, but don't believe it.
We don't have to meet court-of-law prosecutorial standards before we can condemn and call-out behavior like that. We know EXACTLY what he meant! It was an inflammatory lie, followed by a call-to-action for his supporters.
IT WAS A THREAT!!
His denying what he meant by that is along the lines of someone denying that "see you next Tuesday" doesn't mean anything vulgar and misogynistic either.

(18,672 posts)He's the one who said the elections would be "rigged". Roger Stone has promised a "bloodbath". And now the impotent media expects us to believe Trump when he says he was talking about "political power" and "voting" after trying to denigrate our voting system. A man who incites violence at his rallies, and who likes to threaten others who speak out against him with with physical violence and has insinuated there will be violence in the streets if he loses. Riiiiiight.

(54 posts)Regardless of what you feel about your opponent, directly or indirectly threatening them is against federal laws. Then again, the GOP often thinks that it is a party that is above the law, which is why Bush never faced any charges for his war crimes in Iraq.
Could you imagine what people's reaction would be if Obama said something like this? People would demand that he resign. Such double standards from the right wing.
