Chuck Grassley is such an unprincipled hack, not sure why Iowans vote for that clown.

Ask Iowans if they want Grassley to be a rubber stamp to a certifiable lunatic, someone even Krauthammer disavows for goodness sakes.

3. we gotta work harder in Ohio to send Portman home.

Issue is that, once again, the Ohio Democratic Party has identified and supported the single most archaic candidate available.

They picked Fisher vs. Kasich for gov...tough call since Fisher couldn't stay awake for most 2 hour meetings. I know from personal experience.

Strickland...good guy...personable...principled. Lots of baggage. Unfortunately, he was gov when the chit hit the fan in 2008-2010 and while it's easy to understand why he did what he did, his actions leave him vulnerable to the classic rethug "repositioning of the facts".

I'm sure they would do this with anyone but honestly, while I like Strickland, Portman's script pretty much writes itself.

...the anti-Strickland ads were their first buy. We've been seeing them for months. Read somewhere that it's because they see Portman as one of the best options for 2020. Hate to say it but given the field of R options, they may be right.

That's why we need to put a pin in his career now, so if he does run in 2020 it's as a "former Senator" vs. incumbent.

His big leads suddenly vanished. Trump could take Portman out as well as Burr (NC).
