New Dixie-Strategies Poll of Texas is a piece of crap

Don't get me wrong I think Trump will win Texas but I don't think Trump has a 11-point lead.

But look at this--are we really to believe that in Texas Trump is getting 32% of the Latino vote? and 13% of the black vote when nationally in many polls he is hardly getting 20% of the Latino vote and 1% of the black vote.

The crosstabs are wacky.

Also seems like they over polled Republicans: The results include 448 Republicans, 305 Democrats and 265 others

Purely as a regional statement, I don't think the racial breakdown is really broken. TXIRISHWOMAN Aug 2016 #1
it sucks, but did you see the hypothetical Cruz-Castro poll? Rstrstx Aug 2016 #2

Get in the Bible Belt and emphasize being anti-gay and anti-abortion, and you'll get a fair number of people voting for whoever has an (R) after his name just based on that.

Cruz - 31.63%
(Joaquin) Castro - 31.43%

2018 is an eternity in politics but that's still interesting.

I too think the numbers for Trump are fishy, there's just no way in hell he's getting 32% of the Hispanic vote and 13% of the black vote. Clinton should improve on the 30-70 point margins Obama got along the border from Laredo to Brownsville in 2012, Trump is truly despised down here by Hispanics and most resident gringos down here (both of them) aren't enthusiastic about him either.
