Manchester Based IBEW 2320 Endorses Hillary Clinton
By NH Labor News | August 11, 2016 | Elections, Sec Hillary Clinton, Union
Ibew Hillary Clintons 100 Days Jobs Plan and economic vision for an America that is stronger together, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2320 based out of Manchester, NH released the following statement from Steven W. Soule, Business Manager for IBEW 2320, on their endorsement of Hillary Clinton for President.
There is no refuting that Hillary Clinton has a clear plan to grow our economy and create jobs. She has been a friend to organized labor throughout her career in public service, which is why we are offering our full-throated endorsement. Within her first 100 days in office, President Clinton would work to implement her economic plan, which makes the boldest investment in infrastructure we have seen in more than half a century. She is also focused on encouraging apprenticeships and job training that will benefit our community tremendously. Her opponent, Donald Trump, is a risk unlike any working families have ever seen. His economic policies and history of stiffing contractors leaves our membership little doubt about the type of President that he would be. We encourage all working Granite Staters to join us in repudiating Trump, a man who is unfit to run the U.S. economy, and to do everything they can to elect Hillary Clinton our 45th president.
Our roads and bridges are potholed and crumbling. Families endure blackouts because our electric grid fails in extreme weather. Beneath our cities, our pipeline infrastructure our water, our sewer, you name it is up to a century or more old. Our airports are a mess. Our ports need improvement. Our rail systems do as well, Hillary Clinton said. I want to use every tool we can to invest in infrastructure and build a stronger, more prosperous future. Weve got to do this now.
Promising to push through a massive five-year jobs plan within the first 100 days, Clinton said:..........................
