I am DAMN sick and tired of the bullshit

Nine out of the ten top stories here have to do with Trump. It's all Trump all the time. There is no escape. Everyone knows he's a full blown nutcase. Nothing new on that front. I used to come here to see discussion on different topics. No more. Hillary is running.....why no discussion of what she is running on? You know, the ISSUES!
There is no critical thinking anymore...just Trump bashing.
I may not post a lot but I have been around long enough to see posters bounced off this board for their more than passionate thoughts on a topic....and they weren't freepers.

I saw Requiem For The American Dream again Saturday night by Norm Chomsky....for those of you who didn't see it. Please do.
For those who did....please watch it again.

Real change starts from us as a group. It's time to put the Trump card down. We get it....he's a wacko. No one here is going to vote for him. Please focus on the issues and change that benefit all of us.

End of my rant.

I get it, though. I get what you're saying. There's nothing wrong with discussing or even arguing policy. And yet, there is a loud contingent here that angrily and wrongly flies off the handle at any mere MENTION of criticism of any kind at our candidates, no matter how small. It can be a bit disappointing.

But I blame no one for focusing on Trump right now. We are literally three months away from an election and our candidate has already been chosen. Stopping him from getting in is our first and biggest priority and no matter how good the news has been the for us the past month, nothing is guaranteed.

undergo mental health screening? There's an issue that'd knock out more than a few the far right has been putting in office. Tom "The Hammer" DeLay has been seriously "identified" as not just having a personality disorder but one in the "dark triad"--a psychopath, in a number of articles with a psychological bent I've read, and he's just one of a bunch. Newt Gingrich also.

Right now, how about Cruz? Rubio? Do either have a conscience? Very possibly clinically diagnosable. Ben Carson certainly, and I feel sure he'd be not half so harmless as he presents himself if he got real power. The farther you go out of the mainstream it seems the more common problems are, or perhaps just stronger and more noticeable.

Not that, from what I've read, psychopaths and narcissists have ever been uncommon in politics, but driving out moderate conservatives opens up a lot more opportunities for them, and making extreme policies "mainstream" requires less camouflage. Smiling villain is the new norm. At the same time, for those of us on the outside, they become easier to pick out and wonder about.

Pres. Obama saved autos and millions of jobs in the end...he stopped the job hemorrhage and gave us health care. He caught Bin Laden and appointed fine justices to the supreme court and other courts. He stopped the GOP from wrecking the country with the debt ceiling...he is a good guy and has been a good president...things are way better...but the right is still stuck in doom and gloom because of their media.

plenty to be glad about, but most of it, of course, is in you guys. Just wish more people actually feel the positive things that have been done the way you do. Since DH was retired and me semi, it just didn't hit us so hard, although I had to stop saving and we'll be feeling the effects over the years too.

We need to cut conservatives a bit of a break, poor things. They tend to dislike change all by itself and certainly are not suited to a world of galloping change. They're naturally both more fearful and have a darker view of human nature. Generally speaking, they prize security and are not the kind of people to be at their best when gazing into a future that is an incomprehensible and unpredictable blank. They need to see a road and know where it's going.

Dems promise us all there'll be pie in that picture somewhere, someday, just can't say what kind or just how much, or when, and that may work for us but sure doesn't for them. They want strong leaders who'll give them firm answers and promise make it basically the way they liked it before.

And here comes all that lying propaganda aimed straight at their weakest points.

It's a distraction from what we should be focused on. It's OK to discuss but that is ALL that is discussed here... front and center. I thought we were better than that.

Your op is meta and actually rails against non-meta ops. That's factual and not mean.

from going and finding out on your own?

What purpose would discussing issues serve if it only means people chiming in with different opinions and causing an argument to break out over disagreements?

What you're talking about was finished during the primary. Debating different policy positions between two candidates only works when both candidates actually HAVE policy positions, as Sanders and Clinton did. Trump doesn't have anything that even resembles a policy position, so what are we supposed to compare Clinton's to? That would only elevate Trump's verbal diarrhea into something it is not.

Enjoy every minute.

There will be plenty of time to address the issues after Hillary is elected President.

For now, our best plan is to fan the flames that will hopefully consume this don and everyone associated with him.

And help us to sweep new majorities into the Senate and House, so Hillary can get something done when she's elected.

And for the record, this current story about Trump and the ledgers is monumental. In any other election, someone like Manafort would be fired immediately. There is a very good reason so much attention is focused on Trump. We have never seen a major party candidate like him -- ever.

But other countries have. Countries whose examples we don't want to follow.
