Why are some folks upset with Republicans endorsing Hillary?

Donald Trump has shown contempt for democratic norms and the rule of law. All Americans should oppose his candidacy. I bet a lot of Italians, Japanese, and Germans wish they could have told their grandchildren and great grandchildren they opposed Mussolini, Tojo, and Hitler.

She is actually boosting their self esteem by allowing them to do something that will forever make them feel better about themselves.

Hillary Clinton is leading them on the path to self actualization. That's what a leader does.

... that could help to explain what we're seeing, or what motivates those individuals to complain in such a manner. As near as I can tell, many of them believe that Hillary is actually a Republican (Goldwater Girls, anyone?) Many can't let go of the notion that she's a "Wall Street shill" or that there's a quid pro quo for her speaking fees.

It's difficult to know for sure what motivates some individuals, but sometimes the nitpicky "criticisms" and shallow "concerns" I see here (and elsewhere on the web) make me think of the old primary battles we used to see.

But, on the bright side, even though not every jury is in agreement on things like this, whenever juries DO disagree, it often emboldens them to go one step further ... and one step further again. Eventually they get brave enough to wander from the gray areas and cross over the bright red line anyway.

So, as frustrating as it is to watch while it's happening ... I take comfort in knowing what awaits them as they frolic down that path of self-destruction.

More about this than full blown support for Hillary. IF they had a "normal," for them, candidate, they would not be coming over to our side. But, fear about the havoc Rump would wreck on this world is forcing them to make hard choices.

This is especially true in purple states on the red side of purple.

If we're going to win handily at the top of the ticket *and* win down-ticket races, we're going to need as many non-Democrats as we can get. The more, the merrier.

I don't give a shit if some career criminal correctly decides which way to butter his bread. He can publicly place his bet and profit from the good government which will come of it, but I want it to be perfectly clear that the good government spawns directly from opposing Republican policies.

Note also that these decisions are not votes of conscience or changes of heart. They are cynical, carefully placed career moves that spring from calculated self-interest. That's not self-actualization. It's plotting.

So those Republicans who endorse Mrs. Clinton gain no credit whatsoever from me, and are welcome to fuck right the hell off when this nightmare is over.

... and I too shall rejoice.

But I haven't seen it yet. Instead, I see a whole lot of people hand-wringing over the fact that their racist, election-stealing, war-starting, economy-crashing, poverty-creating party is in danger of being destroyed by an aspiring Mussolini who pulled off the mask during the election season rather than after he takes office. They are entirely concerned with the appearance of the very same improprieties that they all commit once in office.
