(note...I am NOT comparing her to Nixon, ok?)

The argument went, back in the day, that because Nixon had established himself as a rabid Cold Warrior, he could get away with reaching out to China and moving towards a slightly less rigid policy towards that country.

Today, with her long-standing reputation as a hawk, HRC could actually be the president who has the credibility, in the eyes of the people, with moving us towards a considerably less-militaristic approach to dealing with the world.

I think she has the potential creativity to see the possibilities in this, and hope that she will seize them.

This is crucial to creating any sort of a progressive future, because unless we can finally start cutting the war budget significantly, the resources will not exist to deal with the problems this country and the world need to solve if we're to
