Wolfowitz, A Neocon And Strong Supporter Of Iraq War, Says He'll Vote For Clinton

Paul Wolfowitz, a neoconservative who as a senior advisor to then-US President George W. Bush was a vociferous advocate for the preemptive war against Iraq in 2003, says that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump poses a security risk to the country and that he will vote for the Democratic candidate, Secretary Hillary Clinton.

Wolfowitz told Der Spiegel magazine that he has "serious reservations" about Clinton, but that he could not vote for Trump.

"It's important to make it clear how unacceptable he is," Wolfowitz told the magazine.

"I wish there was a candidate whom I could support enthusiastically," he said. "I will have to vote for Hillary Clinton, although I have serious reservations about her."

afraid to tell pollsters that they are voting for Trump. But they are out there and she's not going to say what percentage of the electorate they are, but she knows they exist.

For the "don't spread right-wing" blah blah or whatever.

Just a heads up, for those that are keeping a list of "sensitive" topics -- apparently a Deutche-Weld article, using the DW headline, gives some people the sads.

I'll take the vote, but if that guy is given a foreign policy position in her administration, I will not vote for her re-election.

I welcome his vote, not his endorsement, which, to be fair, he did not give.

Too bad he wasn't this realistic in 2002 and 2003. Could have saved the world a LOT of grief.......

then "we" complain when even people like Wolfowitz note that Trump is such a delusional nutcase that a vote for Clinton becomes a no-brainer.

He's voting for her with "serious reservations". It's not like she's suddenly going to adopt his policies.
