Corp Media's Blatant False Equivalency of the campaigns

Of Trump and Clinton is dangerous and sick!

I only watched about three minutes of CNN this morning. And then became disgusted and turned to MSNBC for like two minutes, and then turned it all off!

The "all the rage" talking points happening now...apparently is that the election has devolved into nothing more than name-calling coming from both camps...and why aren't they talking about "Real issues"???

Apparently, Hillary Clinton has been found guilty by the media of "many many many scandals".....but that Trump is blowing any advantage over Hillary due to his own scandalous comments.

WTF????
Last I checked, Hillary had not been found guilty of any wrongdoing in any of these so-called "Many Many Many scandals" But it appears that our media has tried and convicted her as indeed guilty of these scandals, whlie Trump is only inept by not taking advantage of Hillary Clinton' scandals!

This is why I hate the corporate media… And rarely watch any "news" television!

Pardon my French, but I feel as strongly as you do on this issue.

I'd love to see something where individuals rise up and use their twitters or facebooks to tell them to eat shit and bark at the moon every time they engage in that kind of bullshit. I'd happily participate! I do it on my own when I see it, but there's strength in numbers! Maybe someone on reddit can get something started!

statement against corporate infotainment pushed as "news" is to cut the cable. That's right. CUT the cable! Cut off a source of their income, as we all subsidize this crap through the cable bill.

OR, demand custom channel choices where you can decline to buy MSNBC, FOX, CNN. That's one route.

Cable is the one thing that keeps the peace--that, and more than one television! LOL!

I guess I'll have to keep on writing those "strongly worded letters" (emails) when I see something that utterly sucks...and of course, those alt-righters hit DELETE when they see them, I'm sure.

I wish I could hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE on them!!!!

Only reason I keep cable is for the ESPNs and SEC Network.

It would be wonderful if I could just subscribe to this package only!

and a result of ignorant application of misguided "fair and balanced" policies (we discount Fox's subversion of that slogan). Fair does not mean equal time. Balanced does not mean equal time.

Fair and balanced coverage means educated perceptive coverage that rejects talking points and rejects exaggeration and rejects ignorance of science and rejects bigoted stances (like "War on Christmas" nonsense).

Unfortunately, the American public have been dumbed down by the media and by the culture to disrespect education and reason and wisdom.

Instead they laud athletes as some kind of "heroes" and movie stars as knowledgeable enough to weigh in on issues from apple pesticides to vaccination.

The public has been conditioned to demand teaching to the test instead of real education (critical thinking, analysis, reasoned debate). They have bought into the idea that education is about skills (being able to calculate a percentage).

They have been trained to reduce their empathy by Republicans.

The media have bought and paid for the current state of ignorance of the populace with the collusion of (mainly) the Republican Party because it is profitable.

Thank God Trump is consistent(like most politicians the power makes them entitled to be so). The media is trying indeed to pump him up,take may be slightly frightened of Hillary giving them payback some day(one wishes!). Are trying desperately and stupidly occupying the place in the vacuum that was the shrill distracting voice of the hatemongering GOP. Lazy. Incompetent. Compared to Joe Blow(whose main weakness is being crippled by dishonest media) on the street not worth listening to for anything. Vastly overpaid since they are running everything they can into the ground. A parody of the end result of the movie "network". Hypocritical but not rationally critical, informed or even curious about obvious news angles, obvious mistakes, past record or present folly.

False equivalency is only one in a list of mortal sins of these anti-journalists, this braying pompous pravda we are saddled with as a supposed culture leader that lives to keep us ignorant and divided on the highway to hell.

And I can get away with saying this and more with only accidentally tuning in, passing by an obnoxious TV screen, or moving the other guy's fishwrap off the chair!

It might not be productive to train the sights on this last obstacle to sanity, but they deserve to be ignored, turned off and certainly not quoted or engaged in a flame war. What is the public approval rating for this monopoly of public media discourse? Approaching that of Congress and famous monsters of history. Pimps for Babylon.

Just not worth watching. If enough turn them off they collapse, because that is literally all they are capable of

Now pumping up a baseball team and leading fans to get enthused with expectations of victory favoring the underdog heroes most often does not effect real world results. But if the fans did the game by voting it would matter. This is the last enemy of truth, our own dysfunctional journalism.

When they know full well that it is THEM who are hammering that meme into their viewing public day in-day out every day thus far!

Sec. Clinton is being discussed by the media.

The word "scandal" is the lead in a Fox/Trump/Republican meme to discredit Hillary.

No need for her supporters or any Democrat to buy into that wording.
