She has kookie beliefs, but she should know to stay away from Trump. I really hope the democrats can find someone to run against her.

It blows living here. We keep being stuck with R pols.

Gov - Branstad (been governor for more years than any governor of any state in history - I have no idea how)

Sen - Grassley (he'll be 83 in a couple of weeks...they always run dorks against him...bet you anything he wins in Nov & runs again in 6 years when he's about 90...our great D senator, Tom Harkin, retired b/c he thought he was too old...he was only 75)

State Sen - Blum (local state senator...I don't know how the polling looks, but my guess is he'll win re-election...we could never get the previous R rep, Jim Nussle, out of office either...it was only when he ran for Gov in 2006 that we got a good one, Bruce Braley, in office)

We almost never seem to have good people to run. Braley was very good, but he made one comment that got him in hot water, so we got stuck with (whatever people liked about her) - folksy, was in National Guard, first female, whatever.

and make middle of the road statements on any given issue. A talker and not a good one. Doer, no. I'll vote against her for the second time when she's up again. In the meantime, this year the focus is on getting Grassley out.

Perfect Optics and sound bites to their Base. Tons of bigoted old white people in that area, and they are not about to consider any type of change. Ignorance is bliss to many.

through the countryside Saturday morning. They will finish at the fairgrounds, where Trump will speak around 1 p.m. Central time.

Ernst smiled when asked if Trump will ride a motorcycle, perhaps envisioning the scene. “I will be the only one riding,” she said."

I bet. Too bad.
