Newt’s Email – and My Response

From Newt Gingrich (aka Another Desperate Republican trying to put lipstick on a truly ugly and unelectable pig):

Nance,

"Are you tired of the liberal media telling you you’re wrong?"

Actually, Newt, there is no such thing as the “liberal media”. Never has been. It’s just another soundbyte your side has been tossing around for years beyond its expiration date. Trying to convince voters that the media is “liberal” is like trying to convince them that Obama actually took all their guns away the day he was inaugurated - almost eight years ago. BTW, how'd that work out for you?

"I want to warn you, from now to November it’s only going to get worse."

Oh, yeah, it’s going to get a lot worse for the GOP. That’s because your party’s candidate is a brainless, loud-mouthed bigot who only stops insulting minorities, women, the disabled, et al, long enough to demonstrate just how fuckin’ stupid he actually is. It’s still August – one can only imagine the damage he’ll do to your party over the next two months.

"Democrats will double down on their insults and attacks."

I certainly hope so. Of course, what you characterize as “attacks” on your candidate are actually called “facts” everywhere else in the world. Is it really an “insult” to refer to Donald Trump as a clueless idiot who is using campaign donations to line his own pockets, while successfully convincing the country that he is the last person on earth any sane person would want to see in the Oval Office?

"You’ll hear that you’re wrong about everything. You’ll hear about how the Obama years have been good for you. They’ll preach to you how grateful you should be and how it's Hillary's turn to lead."

Well, Newt, according to actual statistics, the Obama years have been good for just about everyone. I haven’t heard any Democrat “preach about being grateful”, nor suggest that Hillary should be the next POTUS because it’s “her turn”. If you have any actual quotes to that effect, please cite them. Otherwise, I have to assume that you’re just making shit up as per usual.

"But I have to ask, what’s so great about high unemployment rates, a sluggish economy, and economic insecurity across the nation?"

I don’t understand why you “have to ask”. You lived through the Dubya years, same as everyone else. So you know there isn’t anything great about high unemployment rates, a sluggish economy, and economic insecurity across the nation. In case you haven’t noticed, unemployment rates are down, the economy is thriving, and the stock market is up since Obama took office – but we’ve all become used to the GOP rewriting history, so no surprises there. Funny how you all failed to recognize high unemployment rates, a sluggish economy, and economic insecurity across the nation for the eight years when those things were actually happening. I guess it’s like how you didn’t notice that 9/11 happened on your boy’s watch.

"That’s why I’m working with Speaker Paul Ryan to reverse course on all those so called ‘improvements’ by the progressive elites -- to help build on our historic majority."

Wait, don’t tell me – is this the same Paul Ryan who scrubbed already-clean pots in a soup kitchen for a photo-op? The same Paul Ryan who posed for a magazine layout wearing a backwards baseball cap, looking like a reject from a boy band audition? Yeah, there’s some gravitas for you. And you wonder why people saw your party as buffoons even before you nominated Donald Trump, the Greatest Buffoon of Them All?

"But if we want to reverse course, we must outraise them ahead of the August Fundraising Deadline."

Good thinking, Newt. If you can Dump Trump between now and midnight, you might have a shot at raising money for your party before the end-of-month deadline. Any chance of that happening? Not for nuthin’, but at this point it’s your only hope.

"Can I count on you to help protect the majority?"

I AM protecting the majority, Newt – and thanks for asking! You see, the majority of this country is not comprised of low-info low-lifes who think putting a dumber-than-dumb jerk in the White House is a good idea. In fact, the majority of us think it stinks.

That’s why the majority of American voters are supporting, contributing to, and voting for Hillary Clinton.

But all is not lost, Newt. As we’ve heard from political expert extraordinaire, Kellyanne Conway, you can still depend on those “hidden Trump supporters” who will be showing up in droves to vote for him in November. Maybe you should get their email addresses and appeal to them. I mean, what have you got to lose?

Too bad he won't read your rebuttal.

It might do him some good.
