And, at the risk of offending someone, it's not as though the only people killed in this country are killed by illegal immigrants.

I believe most people are killed by someone they already know. And then there are the various random acts of violence, such as mass shootings.

I'm not justifying or excusing any of these, but just trying to bring a little perspective.

I'm being reminded of the various battles that occur when someone vilifies smoking, and someone else responds about drinking. Two different topics. Shouldn't be confabulated.

Just as illegal immigrants shouldn't be confabulated with murders. They are two separate things. Yes, some murderers are illegal immigrants, but not all illegal immigrants are murderers. Wish I knew how to post the Venn diagram.
