I would never have guessed from the coverage this past week.

It's time to reject the idea of corporate profit driven news. It's time to find a new paradigm and send the on-air talent to the unemployment line.

them to report a certain number of minutes of news in the public interest. Those could be enforced.

Before this election (I've backslid), we stopped watching almost all non-written news except for NPR, public television, and a few favorite recorded programs on cable, Rachel, Zakariah, different ones as they came and went.

I really, really think, though, that we need laws limiting the use of mass media to deceive the public. What's been happening has severely degraded our national discourse and is just plain dangerous to the health of our nation.

But there is nothing like "voting with our feet." When the audience numbers drop - revenue drops. I'm all for finding alternative news sources that offer real journalism by real journalists. At the same time switching off the M$M will hurt them financially - which is the only thing they understand.

Having said that - if the M$M circus is to continue to exist - needs to serve the people and to do that - stricter enforcement of laws is probably required.

but when events occur in real time, I'd like to have a broadcast going on in the area I'm working in because I can't sit the entire day chained to my computer.

a huge no to once again being massively deceived. But they to know that. And who's going to tell them? Most people watch a little network news, whatever's provided between commercial breaks, for a few minutes, and that's it.

away together about how unseemly it was that Biden was there and Hillary was not to be found because she was fundraising. I was on that with @mitchellreports. Sick of this.
