2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIt is clearly apparant that Trump is going to use the national security briefings for political gain
The security analysts who are briefing him must be shaking their heads and muttering under their breath after last nights performance. I mean the guy is basing opinions on their body language, which to me indicates he is not listening what they have to say, most of which is way over his head anyway. It is important to note that the security analysts are not political appointees.
This presents a serious problem, ironically, for the national security of our country now and going forward. Let us not forget, this is a guy who saw a broadcast on Fox News and claimed he witnessed a secret film from Iran. Something he made up for political gain. Something completely inaccurate. Something he thought he only saw a secret, which he so breathlessly broadcast
On another level, since he is a businessman and a con man, there is the distinct possibility he will use information from the briefings for fiduciary gain. Insider trading if you will. Also, when he fails this election, he will no doubt use some of the information for the TV network he will form.
Also, since he apparently has a bromance with Putin, there is a likelihood that he will share some of the secrets with his pals in Russia, now and forever. Especially if it helps his campaign or harms Clinton's presidency.
Lastly, who is going to fact check him on what he says about things he claims to hear or learn in the security meetings? The guy is a pathological liar. He can make up anything he wants, as in "the generals are reduced to rubble."
The security analysts better get their shit together, they are briefing a Manchurian candidate who is a security threat to our country
