2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumFuck you, Trevor Noah - Re: Hillary's health
Trevor Noah opened tonights Daily Show mocking Hillary Clinton for both her basket of deplorables line and her lack of transparency about her health issues.
While Noah found the media freakout over her health amusing, he said that Clinton just cant act like what happened to her yesterday was normal.
He showed the video of Clinton struggling to get in the van because this is a disturbing video to watch, because Hillary doesnt look fine.
Noah also noted how the coverup is always worse than the crime with the Clintons and she just needs to be more straightforward.

Guess this hack is hellbent on running off what little audience the shell of the former Daily Show has left.

Jon Stewart an idiot for saying Noah should take over an get his bona fides during an election cycle. You were wrong, Jon. And, bet you are cursing at the TV every night with regret.

(21,056 posts)That's part of the problem with SOME of the younger folks.
They think the whole of politicians are worthless, and although I love Bernie, that it was Bernie or bust! I still see them posting that, as I saw on Michael Moore's posts supporting Hillary and some young guy yelling about how could Michael do that, and he posted Bernie or bust pic. She's by no means my ideal candidate, but...
Just like Michael Moore said over in the UK a few months back about his grade from 1-10 for Obama's tenure ---
"I give him a 7 or 8." (Really, that high the youtube interviewer asks.) "Yeah, when you compare him to Bush he's like a 37!"
So, the younger crowd has to remember you can't get everything at once, and Obama has been light years better than Bush, who they only remember in part, if they were under 14.

(3,072 posts)I watched nearly every Daily Show episode from mid-2004 until Jon left but it isn't even on my radar anymore. I tried watching a few episodes with the new guy here and there but it left absolutely no lasting impression on me. The Daily Show hasn't been "a thing" to me in a long time and I wouldn't be surprised if its current incarnation is doing poorly.

(21,056 posts)I absolutely agree with her decision to not tell anyone she had walking pneumonia since she was on antibiotics. IF she got or gets worse, then yes, she absolutely needs to explain why she's going inpatient for a day or two like Nixon did before the election in '60. Her just battling an infection is not to the point we had to know. If she got any worse, then yes.

(21,056 posts)hey, if he's the study on the issue, then it's the truth, because he is NOT at all funny. I bored of him in minutes both times I tried watching. He's not humorous. He'll be sent packing within a year. Gimme some of that popcorn? haha

I haven't watched a thing on Comedy Central since that five minutes.

(7,769 posts)Here's his recent take on Trump if you can stomach it:
And one of his very first takedowns of Trump in 2015 was epic:
There are many more takedowns of Trump courtesy of Mr. Noah for you to see on YouTube.
His Daily Show content is emphatically ANTI-TRUMP.
I'll take a dozen videos clowning racist Trump to one barely-critical video stating the obvious - that Sec. Clinton should not have downplayed her illness.

(3,635 posts)He's the typical hipster trying to strengthen his cred with the alt-left, i.e. those Stein/buster types who don't like the Clintons, who tend to be a big audience for these type of shows.
