(13,783 posts)... and it won't make a whit of difference to the media. Hillary will release hers, but maybe not 1000's of pages like McCain, and the media will dump on her for 2 days.

(5,810 posts)although the the definitive diagnosis could only be confirmed at autopsy, which was not done. However, she had many symptoms of some type of dementia. She was nearly 90 and had exhibited behavior indicative of some cognitive decline for some time. I took her to my physician when she moved in to live with me so she would have a primary care doctor. A Mini-Mental examination was done to get a snapshot of her thinking and reasoning process. Basic questions like where she lived (name of county), drawing a picture of a house and a clock depicting a certain time. Based on the test, she was clearly showing some signs of thinking that was scattered and unfocused. Her drawing was skewed and showed clear distortions and tilted images. (House was leaning.). The doctor put her on Aricept (later tried Namenda but saw no difference.) She was also put on Lexapro to deal with anxiety issues....and it worked very well to help her not get so agitated and confused.
My thinking on Trump having ANY test that would evaluate him for some type of dementia....is that he would never take it and would certainly never reveal if it indicated any cognitive decline.
To me, the MOST IMPORTANT TEST or evaluation of Trump would be a full psychological assessment. High on my list would be evaluation for narcissism, personality disorders and the degree to which they impact his thinking and behavior. Alzheimer's (early stage or not) is important to know as we learned from Reagan. But his other psychological issues seem to me to be more of an issue, especially given that the Trump behavior we are seeing on display now is not vastly different than the Trump we saw 25 or 30 years ago. He was a mean spirited, jack ass a long time ago and that has only gotten worse with time...not better.

Trump = Donald Sterling formerly of the Clippers
If a person like this can't have a basketball team, he sure cannot be President.
