CNN reports Ivanka will be on Oz show w/daddy, notes Melania's "strange" disappearance
Finally CNN is commenting on Melania's nearly total disappearance from her husband's presidential campaign and saying that it is very odd to have his daughter rather than his wife present to discuss daddy's health regimen. They stated that Melania's absence is unprecedented for a candidate's spouse in the modern era, when spouses campaign actively with their partners. The Trump surrogate complained loudly as usual, and said this was unfair as Melania has a "young child to care for" and therefore must be in seclusion (and never mind the fact that Melania has plenty of help -- lots of staff -- she is not scrubbing the bathtub while tending to TEN YEAR OLD Barron). The Trump people act like Barron is a helpless infant, not a ten year old boy.
It was pointed out that Ivanka has three young children (including a newborn), and that Melania was present for many of the primary events. Also, Sarah Palin campaigned w/a newborn and the family in tow. Melania disappeared after her disastrous speech at the convention. Anyway I am happy that the question is out there as her absence is bizarre, and I find it extremely disturbing given the idea that she could be FLOTUS (ugh!). She has shown very little interest in the people she might rule someday.
