(60,334 posts)He is much rounder than I ever was and I was at 260 for a while. At that weight he has to have high blood pressure.
That is just an observation from personal experience.

(20,190 posts)I think he's another 15 to 20 pounds heavier. The fact that he says he wants to lose only 15 pounds is telling as well. That's less than 10% of his body weight. Speaking from experience, when you're obese, losing 10% of your body weight is pretty easy.

(5,648 posts)He is not a kind fat man so I see no reason to be kind to him. I'll jump right in there; he is big fat pig.
As a possible future President, the American people should have a say about his health. He obviously either eats too much and/or doesn't eat the right kind of foods and doesn't get near enough exercise. If he is over 260 pounds, at his age that is dangerous. His doctor should instruct him to lose 60 pounds or his health could seriously suffer in the not too distant future.

(6,261 posts)Ask yourself how DU would react if e.g. Snowden's revelations had occurred during Bush's reign. I daresay there would be a lot of people here whose opinion on Snowden would be 180 degrees different.
I detest party politics conducted like team sports. Either an action or point of view is right or it is wrong. It's not right or wrong depending on which party is involved.
At least I'd like to think we would all agree to that in principle.
CajunBlazer
(5,648 posts)And I would have the same "observation" if he put American lives at risk doing the Bush administration. A slimeball doesn't become a hero because of when he commits treason.
But what in the hell does that "observation" have to do with the subject at hand. How did you make the "observational" jump from "fat boy" to Snowden in a single bound

At 180,000 square feet, the basket is one of the largest buildings for miles around. Guagenti has reached out to local businesses in an effort to convince them to move, playing up the basket's discounted price, but the space is too large for most. "Just no one is big enough to take that kind of basket on."
And it's not without other flaws. Paint has trouble adhering to its massive handles, which are heated to prevent snow buildup, and as a result they look chipped, said Rochon. The entire basket could use a paint job, Guagenti agreed, though he said the interior is pristine and modern. "There's nothing baskety inside," he said. "Nothing makes you feel like it's in a basket. You feel like you're in a nice, high-rise office building."
