2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhat every reporter believes but will not say publically.
Now that the race is "tied", the new thing for reporters to ask Democrats is ...."why, with all of his negatives, is this race so close".
They know that there are two answers:
1. The medias non stop coverage of Trump and the false equivalency stories they promote.
2. The fact that there are a lot of uneducated, racist, sexist, xenophobic, Americans.
If any mainstream reporter has ever said this, someone please send me the link. Thanks.

(58,785 posts)too human, badmouthing Hillary is literally a requirement to hold almost all MSM jobs covering national politics, and most want both the prize "insider" jobs and to still believe they hold the torch of truth and knowledge for America.
And when almost every successful leader from Napoleon right on through today has understood that if you tell a lie often enough people will believe it, they were not excepting "journalists."

(58,785 posts)weird meat at McDonald's and canned sauce-stuff at Ruby Tuesday because they're right where people pass every day. Checking out what The Atlantic and others have to say is like driving another block over to the restaurants informed people who want a good meal know exist.

(2,108 posts)Say just yesterday it's not the media's fault. The media have said all that needs to be said about Trump. It's the democrats fault for not working hard enough....WTF Mr. Robinson?
No one in the media sees the rise of Trump as their doing.
Just as the lack of information on the Iraq war, nay the actual cheering on of the Iraq war - wasn't their fault.
The media recuses themselves from actual reporting, save for scant few like Joy Reid (she should have a national holiday named in her honor). And then wonders what went wrong.
Thank dog for pockets of the internet where one can ferret out truth. Broadcast media is in the final verse of their own swan song.

It's a shame that political comics are now relied upon to give us the truth.
