Can someone explain this to me?

Why would Bill Clinton give an interview saying he supports the TPP? Is he trying to sabotage his wife?

1. It only matters what she says, he's always been for trade deals, he's not going to change now.

Bill's not running, what he says counts just as much as what the Michelle Obama would say in 2008.

i don't think this hurts her at all. it shows she's her own woman, not running for obama's third term, not bill's third term. hillary's first term.

most likely, obama asked for help, and bill gave it. simple as that.

3. I think that's a great move because she's the one running for POTUS

and he's very much entitled to his own opinion. I happen to agree with him like I do with President Obama. I think the TPP is a more complicated issue than people think. It's tied to balance of power in the transpacific, national security, the global currency and and maintaining our influence in the world. Very delicate stuff.

I think HRC is speaking about a specific area of disagreement and that's the jobs test.

I think the area of disagreement is very narrow in scope.

That said, she is running for President and her being opposed also gives her some daylight between herself and the President without hurting her with his base.

I really disagree with all the power it gives to corporations to litigate disputes outside the court system. I hope everyone here is right.
When you are trying to talk to Bernie supporters to convince them to vote for Hillary, this does not help.
