Trump Allies Keen To Discuss Bill Clinton Infidelities Despite Debate ‘Restraint'

Donald Trump patted himself on the back for refraining from discussing Bill Clinton’s sex scandals at the first presidential debate on Monday, but his surrogates have taken every opportunity to bring them up in the days since.

The campaign seems intent on using the issue to deflect attention from Trump’s attacks on the weight and appearance of former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, which Hillary Clinton brought up at the tail end of the debate. Clinton also released a video touting an endorsement from Machado in which the former beauty queen recounts how Trump called her “Miss Housekeeping” and “Miss Piggy.”

In an interview on “Fox and Friends” on Wednesday morning, Trump's deputy campaign manager, David Bossie, said that “clearly Mr. Trump held his tongue” after Clinton mentioned his pattern of making derogatory comments about women during the debate. Calling Clinton an “enabler” of her husband’s affairs, Bossie said she deserves scrutiny for “really attacking these women” in the 1990s. Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge (R), a Trump supporter, spent the entirety of a Wednesday interview on MSNBC refusing to respond to questions about the Machado dustup and instead criticizing the Democratic nominee's “treatment of women.”

Given that polls show Clinton with a consistent lead among women and that women take issue with Trump’s past negative remarks about them, host Craig Melvin asked Rutledge for proof to back up her claim that female voters thought Clinton was “not a good role model." Rutledge said she would be “happy to provide the information” later on. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is currently on his third marriage, spearheaded this line of attack on Tuesday, saying Trump should have spoken about what Clinton “did to Monica Lewinsky” during the debate.

About time for Newt to chime in - the same Newt that left his wife that was fighting cancer for his second wife.

And then they will be destroyed. America may think many things about Hillary Clinton that aren't even a little bit true, but they do give her the benefit of the doubt through Bill's infidelities. Throwing Bill Clinton's sleeping around in Hillary's face will the the 3rd rail in this election. Bet on it.

They don't get that though, do they? And previous posters are correct - blaming Hillary in some twisted way for her husbands misdeeds will not win votes from women. Gods, they are fools.

Hillary will not engage if Donald gets personal about Bill, she won't miss a beat. While I'd love for her to hit back about Donald's multiple marriages and infidelities, it would not serve her well to get in the gutter with him. He will hate that too - there isn't anything a narcissist hates more than being dismissed or ignored.

What Bill did in his personal life have nothing to do with Hillary and that's exactly how she needs to handle it.

So go ahead Donald, Hillary's ready.

All Hillary has to say is that her husband's failings are his and not my own. I looked deep down in my heart and I knew I still loved him and I wanted our family to remain in tact not just for me, but for our daughter. Then she can even tie it to her beliefs and say They say to sin is human and forgiveness divine. With spiritual strength I found it in my heart to forgive. That is all I have to say about this topic. The story is jusy squashed as there is nothing more to probe.

You mean this Rudy?

NEW YORK — The estranged wife of Mayor Rudy Giuliani won a legal victory Monday when a state judge ruled that the mayor's girlfriend may no longer visit the mayoral mansion.

Saying that the needs of the couple's children outweigh their own, acting State Supreme Court Justice Judith Gische barred Giuliani's girlfriend, Judith Nathan, from visiting Gracie Mansion and the surrounding grounds.

Though Donna Hanover, 51, and Giuliani, 56, are getting a divorce after 16 years of marriage, they continue to li

That's the subliminal message: Bill wouldn't have gone catting around if Hillary hadn't been some combination of bitchy, frigid, gay, unattractive, etc. So - what the Trumpeters are also implying is that it's also OK for Trump (and Gingrich and Giuliani) to have done the same thing because all of their wives must have been inadequate in some way.

Trump just dumped his wives for younger, more attractive ones. One might observe that Bill C. did not dump Hillary (or vice-versa), so despite his zipper issues he's not nearly as much of a cad as Trump, Gingrich and Giuliani.

Love is a fragile thing that most people strive for. We all don't have a mail order catalog to browse for spouses when the older one expires.

She was mad and yes, it was personal. With Donald it's NOT personal because women are not persons. They are objects.
