Donald Trump Allies Ratchet Up Attacks Over Bill Clintons Infidelities

They can't be that stupid, can they? Yea, they probably can.
So Hillary says:
Mr. Trump, I, like many women, including your first two wives, have known the pain of a straying husband. But Bill and I decided the marriage was worth saving. Ivana and Marla evidently felt differently. Further, in Bill's case the women fully consented and were not underage.
Opinions: Approve? Too snarky? Not strong enough?

(11,605 posts)If Trump brings up Bill Clinton's affairs, I think it will backfire and make women rally to Hillary. But if she slut shames Melania she will lose any sympathy she might have gained. Bad idea.

(26,582 posts)Let him bring it up. Bill's approval ratings went up during the impeachment.

(31,518 posts)like this. I can't believe that Trump's campaign advisers are so tone deaf that they would consider bringing this subject into the contest. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. This would not endear them to women voters.

(182,829 posts)C. He got floored with the Miss Universe thing. Anything dealing with women is bad for him.
D. This is yet another RW inside joke - Hillary attacked Bill's accusers - everyone else has moved on and retelling it frames Hillary as a strong woman and it just sounds like a wild ghost story. It also reeks of tabloid material.
E. (sort of part of B ) they kept their family together.
This is flat out stupid on their part and a complete waste of time and energy.

(13,776 posts)He didn't just have affairs, he bragged about them. I can't imagine how his family-values supporters would rationalize that to themselves, although they are so far gone that I'm sure they'll find a way.

(11,495 posts)I just had to run to town and was listening to CNN on the radio, so I don't know who the guy was, but Wolf was talking about this subject and the guy pointed out the 3 marriages of Trumps and the 5 kids from different mothers. I didn't hear the whole thing, but somebody was doing their job for Hillary. On the way back they were taking about all the "fake" polls, or as Wolf said surveys, that Trump keeps pointing to saying he won the debate on Monday. I think it was the same guy, made the comment Trump needs to have people around him tell him he won, and these fake polls helped them push the "he won" meme. The guy also pointed out that the real polls all said Hillary had won.

(52,253 posts)and the attack won't be on what bill did, it would be on what hillary said about monica and the fact that she chose not to publicly humiliate bill for it (though we all know she gave him a swift kick privately).
maybe better for her to just generically stick up for her family. maybe say something generic like "you're in no position to pass judgment."

(52,253 posts)so far i've only found the claim from right-wingers that hillary was mean to monica.
don't know what she's alleged to have said or if she actually said it.
but with trump that hardly matters. he'll bring up the topic on that basis.

(35,015 posts)Why on earth would she even acknowledge comments about Bill's infidelities? SHE is running for president, not him. A comeback as you've suggested is pointless and mentioning Donald's infidelities wouldn't help her one bit.
Going after Bill is Donald's hail mary, he knows he's in bad shape and is desperate. All Hillary needs to do is continue as she did during the first debate and refuse to engage Donald when he tries to bait her.

(5,049 posts)But the Trump campaign is out of ideas so they do this sort of nasty shit. Someone needs to ask KellyAnne ConJob if she is proud the campaign she is running. Beyond that - does anyone really want a President who stoops so low and has friends acting as vile, disgusting, and mean spirited attack dogs.

(833 posts)1. Newt Gingrich resigned the speakership after his caucus rebelled against him. The repug party had lost seats in the '98 election because of the public's anger over the impeachment. He later admitted to an extra-marital affair while he was prosecuting President Clinton.
2. His replacement, Bob Livingston, resigned on the day of the impeachment vote, after revelations that he was in an extra-marital affair.
3. Dennis Hastert, who presided over the trial, is in prison.
4. Ken Starr, the chief prosecutor, was fired as president at Baylor and resigned as chancellor. His recent interviews prove that protecting football players is more important to him than protecting rape victims and potential rape victims.
These guys, and the horse they rode in on, are hypocrites of the first order--well, maybe the second, since t-rump has bragged about his infidelities. When the above throw this kind of mud, they wind up covered in it, and t-rump will, too, if he attacks Mrs. Clinton. Let's remember that she is the wife of a philanderer, not a philanderer herself. She's kicking his a$$, and she'll do it again if he pulls this stuff in a debate.

The Cowardly Lyin' doesn't have the stones to say it to her face. That's why he didn't broach the subject during the debates; he was too scared she'd throw his own infidelities back in his face.
I think HRC ought to point out his bully-boy ways as those of a coward. Trumpanzees may love DT's cruelty, but even they hate a coward....or they could be such lowlifes that they'd follow a coward to the pits of hell.

(90,714 posts)Will Tinyhands Trump sway even one vote by bringing this up?
My answer: The millenials don't care, and no votes will be swayed.
Furthermore, no matter how hard and how often he tries, Benedict Donald will never be able to get into Hillary's head nor will he lure her into the gutter with him.
There is nothing our candidate needs to say on this subject, ever. And she won't.

I doubt that he will bring this up in a debate, but that may be because I'm not nuts.
If they think this will throw her off balance in some way, they're idiots.
