ivanka made a comment like that over a year ago (about his politics being bad for business, not about the audit).

The Trump brand had already been smashed by The Donald over the past year, and him going off the rails on his crazy train on Monday night didn't help.

I haven't had a dress on in three years, since my daughter's wedding. But I needed something nice last week for a College Reunion, and I was willing to spend the money to get something nice. I wasn't looking for sales. I paid full price.

And some of the prettiest ones had the Ivanka label on them. I passed them all by. Didn't even try one on.

hotels, this vanity campaign has also drawn federal investigative attention to his foundation, his tax dodges through the foundation, and other shady business practices that his kids and their businesses and other operations are undoubtedly involve with.

They could all end up being charged with crimes--or at least serious regulatory violations leading to substantial fines--but even if they don't, they are probably in for at least a few years' worth of expensive, time-consuming dancing with federal investigators.

All this because Daddy was peeved when Pres. Obama and Seth Myers ribbed him a bit at the 2011 WH Correspondents Dinner.

They are not all that clever. Since they have had things way easy most of their lives and have all gotten away with a lot of questionable business practices for so long, it didn't occur to them that they would be better off sticking to the shadows rather than inviting scrutiny by the best oppo reserch team in politics.

So well-deserved.
