as all the absurdity Trump has had FOLLOWING the debate, trying to rationalize his debate performance.

The guy is a complete idiot, completely incapable of accepting that he has ever made a mistake. He doubles down on everything, and insists on making every little thing into a big problem.

This is one wretched human being.

Even the Bushes from time to time allowed that they weren't right 100% of the time.

They have fragile egos that cannot handle apologizing for anything they've ever done. It's perhaps why many resort to violence when confronted. They see it as the better solution than admitting frailty.

You're dead on. Donald has a problem and won't change.

We all assumed that there are lots of ugly things in Trump's tax returns. Hillary seemed to be probing when she said (paraphrasing) "... and maybe those returns show that Donald hasn't been paying any federal taxes at all."

I believe she expected him to bounce on that with more off the ""WRONG!!!" "NOT TRUE!!!" comments. But Trump was eerily silent on this point. Hillary came back to is a couple more times, as if she couldn't believe he wasn't going to try to defend that. And then she started to frame the "why is that important?" case, being, "that means that Donald isn't paying anything to support the army, our economy, education, the infrastructure ..."

I honestly believe this was all done on the fly because I don't think anybody could have assumed Trump was going to be silt on anything, especially something as deadly as this.

I certainly hope the preparation for the next debate plans for ways to land some heavy blows. Hillary can really afford to ground and pound on this because Trump cannot reveal his tax returns. They contain many worse things than paying no taxes, especially considering that his tax avoidance was probably perfect legal by being able to depreciate his properties. She can land blows here, but they do need to be set up properly. I bet this is a major part of the preparation.

This can be a huge wedge issue. The average person just cannot relate to a rich person not paying any taxes. And if Trump goes with the "It is all perfectly legal because I am a smart businessman", that really just makes it worse in terms of the wedge. The average person doesn't have ways to avoid tax obligations.

The knockout punch can be, "For a man who has gone so many years without paying any federal taxes, how come it is so important to you to help billionaires pay even less taxes?"

I think that Clinton had a very good performance in the debate that showed a very strong contrast between them.

Have to give to the M$M for knowing that those people are clueless low IQ low information nitwits who aren't bright enough to figure it out on their own. Hey, Trump won the debate 80% to 20%. Fox said so.

I'm good with "it's neck and neck." Keeps all of us on the right track registering democrats, knocking on doors, calling & talking to everyone we can about voting. Every state. Every vote, until we rock the fuck out of electorate and send the GOP packing.
Ask me if I'm determined or not.
