GOP candidate Mike Pence started something when he dismissively blew off rival Tim Kaine for bringing up that Mexican thing during Tuesday nights vice presidential debate.
Kaine was referring to Donald Trumps offensive comments about Mexicans, including calling them rapists, but Pence tried to shut him down.
Senator, youve whipped out that Mexican thing again, Pence said, hoping to end it.
But that was only the beginning.
The reaction on Twitter came in fast, causing #ThatMexicanThingAgain to become a trending topic:............................................

(24,397 posts)is that he would offer such a flippant remark concerning Trump's bigoted words in the past.
Pence is trying to put Trump's caling Mexicans "rapists" on the level of asking "what's for dinner?"
"Oh, that again?" is the kind of response that seeks to normalize bigotry, as if calling out the bigotry is the same thing as practicing bigotry...as if bigoted remarks are just as normal and acceptable as the little bromides (have a nice day, good to see you, etc) people toss out on a daily basis.
Pence is just a big a slime as Trump, maybe moreso in some respects.

And Pence got in a really good whack, "... and, you know, so his words don't always come out exactly the way he means them."
