Boston Globe: Mike Pence's lies don't make him a winner.

https://www.bostonglobe.com/opinion/2016/10/05/mike-pence-lies-don-make-him-winner/Tp9icZmzP4OA23NBIkswMO/story.html

Pence’s statements on Russia were some of the most bizarre of the evening. He repeatedly criticized Putin as a “small and bullying leader,” which stands in stark contrast to Trump’s constant praise of the Russian president. He said the Russian provocations must be met with American “strength” and that the United States should consider attacking Bashar al-Assad’s forces in Syria. On both issues, Trump has said the opposite.

What was perhaps most striking about Pence’s performance is that he simply denied Trump said things that’s he clearly said. Though Kaine got ahead of his skis when he said that Trump wanted to get rid of NATO, he pointed out that Trump has called NATO “obsolete,” which Pence said wasn’t true (nope, Trump said it). He denied that Trump said more countries should have nuclear weapons (yup, Trump said that). He called Kaine’s claim that Trump wants to deport all undocumented immigrants “nonsense” (actually, it’s one of Trump’s few policy positions).

He even criticized Kaine for voicing an avalanche of insults after Kaine had literally listed many of the insulting things that Donald Trump has said about women, immigrants, and others.

But there were so many untruths from Pence that it was hard to keep track. He criticized Hillary Clinton for failing to negotiate a new status of forces agreement with the Iraqi government in 2011 to keep American troops, even though this was not her job as secretary of state. He repeated the oft-stated, and false, GOP charge that a $400 million payment to Iran earlier this year was a “ransom payment.” He said the Clinton Foundation spent only 10 percent of its proceeds on charitable giving — a long discredited argument. He said that Clinton supports overturning the ban on partial-birth abortion (she doesn’t). He said a Trump-Pence administration would never look to “punish women” who had abortions, even though Trump has said exactly that — and even though Pence would repeal Roe v. Wade, which would in effect punish women who wanted to have abortions by forcing them to carry a fetus to term or seek an illegal, possibly dangerous, procedure.

Pence goes to debate and lies through his teeth during the ENTIRE debate. Yet. . . "He was calm and confident."
"He Was 'Grandfatherly'" (ok-- I made this one up)

Nobody in our esteemed "media" gives a flying FUCK whether ANY of what flew out of his dirty pie hole was actually TRUE or not.

On MSNBC read this. They were all being ridiculous last night discussing style and not content. It was driving me mad.

Not lying is something we are taught as children (or should have been).
He's caught lying, yet it's okay with some of the media, and it's okay to put him into office?

spent all of EIGHT WHOLE WORDS on that aspect: "he got failing grades from the fact-checkers."

But then, of course, she spent the rest of the segment focusing on how well he did, "stylistically." SHEESH.

Mike Pence and Dr. Billi Gordon's Gay Sex Scandal::

billi gordon.com/2015/04 mike pences-gay-lover-tells-all

Mike is "very well put together" visually and very tense.
Catholic Boy, former Alter Boy.
Won only after gerrymandering the districts.
He is a confection made up for the Tea Party.
He considers himself an Evangelist Catholic.
Mega Church member and constructed to get the votes
in Indiana. I have compassion for his family.

We are not supposed to notice his profile is screaming closeted gay
Irish catholic boy. "Family Man",like Scalia. Opus Dei?
His agenda handed to him, as his persona is old school old world
Vatican. Like Scalia. And probably Guliani (who also likes cross dressing). The deep closet conservative who is given the anti-human rights agenda to push.
Why they even bother to push this on their base I do not understand. Hopes of keeping it going as they have so little to sell
anyone wants to buy any more.

Here are some more:
Randy Boehning
Glenn Murphy Jr.
Roy Ashburn
Steve Wiles

Maybe they just can't get real people to the work they seem to need done so they hold the ones in the closet captive as long as they can. Lies are not new to Mike or many of the others.

The Closet is an evil place when is used to hold in place a method of government who's time as long past and now causes only human and environmental suffering for everyone. By opening the closet we destroy the Republican Party. That is why they hate gay marriage. Homophobia is a deep fear inculcated by passe and inaccurate religious doctrine. The only way out is to embrace the change and join the human race. Tipping Point.

One thing I am curious and hopeful about is when a new generation proliferates the Mormon Church they rewrite their doctrines. It is VERY bad for business not to. And with Pope Francis and the slow dying out of the dark
old ones that too may transition. Change is very slow until we face
a breaking point. We have reached that now, here.
Choosing Mike is a sign of real desperation. I guess they couldn't strong arm anyone else into it.

...Pence has dreams of bigger and better (and I don't mean Billi!). Pence has his eye on being the cafeteria Christian's Evangelical Poster Boy for 2020. Ted Cruz is officially toast.

As for the Mormon Church: I was born and raised in the Church. They have to rewrite their doctrines, now that the Book of Mormon is a smash on Broadway, but a glaring fake elsewhere.
