2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBobby Jindall finds his spine?
I'm surprised to see him standing up to Romney's recent comments. I have never had any respect for Jindall and I still don't, but I do think this is an interesting turn of events signaling, if nothing else, that Romney has ZERO power or pull in the Republican party.
It's a rather quick pivot to 2016 either way.

(1,663 posts)Until then he is just a weasel trying to distance himself from the losers. I have less respect for him because this proves he stands for nothing.

(27,461 posts)it isn't any kind of profound change within Bobby Jindal, which if he runs will be one of the biggest hacks running.

He's been MIA since campaign season began. And when he does do stuff, it's in the form for rejecting expansion of Medicaid and refusing to implement the Affordable Care Act.
Again, fuck that guy.

(264 posts)Yeah, okay, I know my comment doesn't add anything substantive or informative to the discussion, but I felt like saying it anyway. I was born in Louisiana and am glad as hell that my father's military service eventually brought my family to that northeast bastion of 'socialism' called Massachusetts.
Things are not perfect up this way -- Massachusetts did slip up and elect Scott Brown to take over Kennedy's vacant seat in 2010, but at least the residents of the Commonwealth do not have to deal with the relentless insanity that is known as Republican leadership, as so many DU'ers who reside in red states do.
Plus, in our defense, we rectified our earlier 'slip up' by electing Elizabeth Warren to the senate. As for how Mitt was elected governor, I try not to think about that because doing so gives me a bad case of the willies.
Edited this post to say that a good friend of mine says that Jindal looks as though he himself could use some Obamacare.
