What happened with the "True the Vote" folks?

They seemed poised to muck up elections all over the country in the name of preventing "voter fraud" by showing up at polling places and challenging (Democratic) voters. Did anybody encounter/witness them where they voted and did they make much of an impact on the election (if any)?

One guy, and his wife (in Texas), are current fending off voter fraud allegations for having voted twice, in at least the least three elections.

I walked up to that building with the biggest chip on my shoulder to share with those bullies! And, I was truly disappointed none of them showed.

they're pretty sure all the Botswanans are getting ready to vote illegally. Said one "True the Vote" volunteer, "They just have that look about them."

with folks running ORCA, until we shut them down no more than an hour into the day...Definitely R appointed observers, and I suspect they were True the Vote volunteers.

A few more persistent ones in precincts where the D precinct workers/judges were not as assertive continued to behave badly throughout the day (although ORCA was shut down anywhere I know it was used). We had intermittent reports of R observers directing pollworkers about who to challenge, or acting as an additional precinct worker (while the D observer was kept at a distance of 10-20').

There were similarly trained individuals who were appointed in NE Ohio (we had a few inappropriately telling the R election judges which individuals to challenge - which we shut down as soon as we heard about them).

As long as the Republican Count or State Organization wanted to appoint them, and they were registered voters in Ohio, there isn't anything legal barrier to them being appointed as individuals (even if the organization wasn't permitted to appoint them).

New Black Panthers, right?

Not really, but that's about the only thing we haven't been accused of by the Romneyites.

wearing a hat that had an Obama button it, "you can't wear that hat in here!"

He had really crazy eyes. I asked him if he was an official election checker and he said "no." I said "well, then, tell the official election checker and let him talk to that guy."

He shut up after that...

FORGES AHEAD"

True The Vote, which is called the “Voter Integrity Project” in Ohio, lost support from all five backing politicians required to grant them the right to monitor polls in Ohio Tuesday, the Columbus Dispatch reports.

Ohio Board of Elections spokesman Ben Piscatelli made a statement in regards to the efforts of True The Vote that were thwarted, confirming that the organization did not properly file the paperwork necessary to carry out their planned poll monitoring, in what may be viewed as falling upon their own sword:

Sounds a lot like romney's genius ORCA campaign FAIL on Election Day.
