Impeach Obama?

I can't believe all the momentum the impeach Obama movement has gained.

In their fairy tale world what happens after he gets impeached? Does Romney get to be president? Will there be a special election?

No, president Joe Biden is what happens. I don't think these geniuses have thought this through?

And a solidly Democratic Senate would have to convict. Over a so-called scandal which so far only Republican Senators John (Call me Bitter) McCain and Lindsey (I'm with Bitter) Graham believe has any legs. Good luck with that Republicans. Please do this before the 2014 elections if you are going to do it. Then the Democrats can take over the House as well as continue to hold onto the Senate.

They are just like Mitt Romney. They are sore losers and we should know who they are. If they want a fight, give it to them. They'll still lose. They need to grow up and go about their lives. President Obama is the President for four more years period! No more of this temper tantrum. They act like spoil brats, who lost their nipples.

and iin the eyes of some ultra-rightists, Persistent Negritude, a.k.a., Presidenting While Black, is sufficient cause.

It only takes a simple majority in the House to impeach, and they might be able to get that. However, it takes a 2/3 vote in the Senate to remove a president from office, and in the unlikely event of that happening they get President Biden, who can then appoint a new VP.

racists and fascists making the same ugly noises. They are still unhappy that there is a BLACK man in the WHITE House and they can't control themselves.

If repukes try to impeach him they will fail just as badly as they did with Clinton. Impeachment is not an appropriate response when one loses an election in a near-landslide.

If they wait 'til after the new congress takes control, there will be fewer rethugs in the House, and even fewer in the Senate. It's ridiculous and like watching a snake try to eat itself from the tail end, but they've shown every indication that they intend to make this their MOA for every Dem elected to a second term. They didn't feel emboldened to do this before because for two years they were in a minority position. When they won the midterms, they just felt they'd sweep into everything this fall and didn't want to jeopardize their chances by having the public get a bad taste in their mouths ahead of the election.

It wouldn't surprise me if the House rethugs try to cram this down before they leave town for the holidays. They're that delusional and irrational now. Reid will just shut them down in the Senate and they'll limp back to their constituents with their collective tails between their legs. Despite their weakened condition when they return, I fully expect them to return to the same old playbook. Hopefully, if they do, they'll find that they lose even more voters and accelerate the demise of the rethug brand ahead of 2016. Whig Party next stop!

from office? Takes two-thirds of the votes in the Senate to remove a President as a result of a "guilty" verdict in an impeachment trial initiated by the House.

People encouraging this are either (1) just attempting to stir up trouble; (2) ignorant of the Constitution; (3) simply imhinged; (4) willfully determined to embarrass President Obama; OR a member of the media who considers the subject a gold mine for those in the reporting arena.
