Chris Christie Sudden No-Show at Debate
Newsmax (yes, I know...)New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who has been helping GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump with debate prep, will not be at Sunday's second debate with Democrat Hillary Clinton, CNN reports.
"Situation Room" host Wolf Blitzer on Sunday noted that Christie also dropped out of Sunday news show appearances then it was discovered he will not be at the debate at Washington University in St. Louis.
"The official line is he has important business to tend to New Jersey," reporter Dana Bash replied. "But he always has important business to tend to in New Jersey, and yet he has found an incredible amount of time in his schedule to help his good friend Donald Trump through thick and thin."
The fact that Christie will not be present at the debate "speaks volumes" Bash said.
