First, yes, CA picks up another Democratic congressman. But more amazingly, that Democrat won in San Diego, the once safe haven of everything right-wing.

It was supposed to be a safe GOP pick up

San Diego had a democratic sweep - seriously. We won nearly everything (I don't count Issa as he is county not city)

The Republicans are likely to lose 3 members of the House of Representatives from California. Mary Bono Mack has already conceded, and next will probably be Dan Lungren.

Lungren campaign manager, Jeff Wyly, said the congressman would not concede Thursday night and that there would be no further statement from the campaign.

He used his young daughter (who stated she had terminal cancer in an ad) to promote his candidacy.

I think even Republicans thought that was over the line.
