Love the snarkiness of this - I just picked a few "causes" here but there are more at the link.
Donald Trump's Sniffling Continues, Here Now Are The Possible Causes
Bruce Y. Lee
Trump may be irritated by something: This could explain the slightly constipated look. Common irritants include perfume or cologne, cigarette smoke and air pollution. Cold weather and bright lights can also cause irritation.
Trump may have a tic: Note this is not the bug, which is spelled tick. Trump does not have ticks as far as I can tell. A tic is an involuntary muscle movement, meaning that it is not deliberate. This would probably not be a simple childhood tic because Trump is not a child, age-wise. Tics can occur when a person has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), myoclonus, obsessive-compulsive disorder, epilepsy or Tourettes syndrome. Anxiety and stress can also lead to tics.
Trump may be crying: Debates can be tough. People who are very sensitive or strongly empathetic and sympathetic can also be prone to crying.

(25,351 posts)Nose picking can irritate the nasal passages and even lead to nosebleeds.
Trump may have something up his nose: Children often jam objects such as beans, peas and peanuts up their nose, which in turn can irritate the inside of their noses. Some adults do this as well.
I thought the article was funny!
plausible reasons with humor here and there.

(9,670 posts)It's the only scientific theory I can advance that explains his loathsome behavior.

(3,425 posts)If Trump has been using stimulants such as Amphetamines (eg. Adderal, Dexadrine, Desoxyn) or Ritalin, he may have developed Tardive Dyskinesia, which is an involuntary movement disorder causing tics, grimaces, jerky muscles.
It is a form of permanent brain damage - mot often cause by Anti-Psychotic medications (which Trump SHOULD be on) - but, as we may be seeing in Trump - it can also be caused by chronic stimulant (either legal RXstimulants, as the examples above, or illegal substances such as cocaine/crack or home brewed, smoked methamphetamine (vs. Desoxyn, which is a legitimate physician prescribed methamphetamine, which taken by mouth in medical doses).
Many writers, businessmen, (and of course college students cramming for exams) use these substances to enhance performance and stamina. Trump could have eaisly obtained these by either faking or (more likely) actually having ADD.
Just my 2 cents of the possible causes of the tics.

October 7 is "National Misogyny Awareness Day", commemorating the day that Trump's extreme misogyny tapes were released.

Although coke sounds worse, it also comes off as a wildly speculative attempt at exaggerated shock value character assassination.
I don't want the media to play this as a "cocaine vs. cold" problem. There are PLENTY of other reasons - still related to abuse of legitimate medical drugs - which sound more plausible and less like viscous, unfounded speculation.

In the last 2 debates, you could almost set your watch for the 25 minute crash mark where he goes incoherent and babbles about unrelated topics.
