Gender, Ambition, and Likeability

I am sick of people stating that both these candidates are unpopular and never referring to the fact, that when women are judged to be ambitious and competent we also judge them as dislikeable. Multiple psychological studies demonstrate this, check out Heilman, 2012, if you want a broad review of these studies.

Hillary Clinton’s likeability is about her gender, and I am sick of journalists never pointing that out. Or worse still pointing it out, and then dismissing it.

I am sick at all journalists who do this, including liberal ones on NPR. So sick of it.
