Who are you working to support Downticket? Get me interested in helping your candidate!

I'm thinking of moving on from working on a senate race to a house one. Been doing a little research but would love some inspiration from you guys!
What are some important races for us to add to HRCs victory?

4. Maine 2nd District. Incumbent Bruce Poliquin (R) vs. Emily Cain (D)

Supposed to be a competitive race. I'm afraid Bruce Poliquin will win again. He is a Paul LePage crony. He has never said he is not voting for Trump, which means he is. He mostly keeps his mouth shut about Trump when asked. Of the most recent Trump controversy, Poliquin said Trump comments were repulsive and then he immediately transitioned into attacking Clinton. They've been playing an annoying attack ad against Cain related to some legistation she supported to weigh children and track their weights in school. That's the worse they can come up with against her. She actual cares about kids health.

would be the first female Native American congress person . She had moved within polling margin of error before the Trump scandal hit and Trump-humper Ryan Zinke is on the ropes and so far will not disavow his previous support for Trump.

Clements is an environmentalist, which would be a big change from Upton.

11. Steve Santarsiero - PA 8th

When I was 19 in 2007, I volunteered for the local Democratic Party. One night, I was tasked with canvassing with Steve as he was running for bucks county commissioner.

I walked door to door with him in a handful of neighborhoods and he was a really nice guy.

Sadly, he lost that commissioners race.

10 years later, he's the democratic nominee for the 8th district, a slightly republican leaning district that elected my personal favorite politician, Patrick Murphy, in 2006 and 2008.

Steve is running against the brother of our current corrupt GOP congressman, Mike Fitzpatrick.

Let's just say I'm all in for Democrats over nepotism.

He's running against Lamar Smith. That should be enough to convince you.

I will add more later when I'm at a regular keyboard again.

17. Save Science, Save the Climate support Tom Wakely

As a scientist, living in TX House District 21 is embarrassing to say the least. To not only be represented by the medieval witch hunter Lamar Smith but to have this ignoramus serve as the Chair of the House Committee on Science and Technology? He's got to go.

So, last March or April I started searching - would the DP find someone to run against Smith or not? I found my candidate in Tom Wakely. I went to his website and there, right on the front it said "Climate Change is out single biggest national security threat."

A week later I attended rally for Bernie one county over and I met Tom. In five minutes he pulled me out of my retirement from electoral politics. I've been doing technical work for him around the edges but his campaign staff is unbelievable. They are made up of young, smart, savvy people who are the real future of the DP and, I hope, of Texas. Together they have brought Tom farther than any previous contender and I really believe this is the year.

What you can't see unless you are here is that Donald has very very little support. I expect to see Trump signs everywhere. I see a bare handful. And Smith was one of the first, if not the first, to jump on Trump's coattails and he hasn't let go. With a depressed Republican turnout due to Trump's unpopularity and an energized Dem electorate I believe Tom can win. Tom has reached out to every constituency that Smith ignores. (Smith didn't even show up to the League of Women Voters forum the other night.) Of course, Smith's real constituency is oil company lobbyists so he pretty much ignores every voter in his district.

Tom's politics are, of course, everything we need in the house. I haven't been this excited about a candidate since Paul Wellstone. (I'm a Minnesota transplant). Texas has been turning blue from the south to the north. TX21 is the next to turn and this is the year to do it. PLEASE give Tom your support.!!
