He's no real estate developer. He left that business long ago. He's making money by renting his name to other venues.
Except that his name is now toxic. One "Trump"-hotel received so much backlash and loss of customers, they had to issue a press-release that they aren't actually affiliated with him.
Who will want to rent his name after the election?
Who will want to keep renting his brand after the election?



What about Melania Trump?
He dragged her into this campaign. He ridiculed her in front of the whole nation by assigning her a speech-writer who plagiarized.
Her name, her brand, in high-society is forever tarred by being associated with him.
And she has to face that she's married to a choleric, narcisstic, misogynistic abuser. He won't take it out on her? Why not? I bet, she realizes that there's a side of him that she didn't want to be true. But now it has become undeniable.
Maybe she will divorce him, get herself a new man aged 40-50 (who actually looks good and actually treats her nice), and make some money in the media-circus with a tell-all-book.
She has the looks, she's from the fashion-industry. If she plays it right, she can harvest the publicity of being his ex-wife without being associated with the negativity.



What about Ivanka Trump?
Like Melania, she has had to realize that her father is a swine. That's hard. That hurts. You thought you know your parents and then they turn out to be someone else.
Not only that: Ivanka has always tried to defend her father when he was accused of being a misogynist. She really believed in him, she really stood by him and wanted to protect him. And now it turned out that he has betrayed her trust by not being the man she thought he was.
After the news of the tape broke, her husband Jared Kushner visited Trump. That's not the kind of impromptu visit you do to surprise somebody during good times. I bet, Ivanka sent Jared to her own father to find out whether the tapes are real. To find out whether he really is that horrible person.
She sent Jared because she was in shock.
She sent Jared because she couldn't stomach the thought of being around her own father.



What about Donald Jr. and Eric Trump?
Well, they used to be the crown-princes of a financial empire. Now Donald Trump has destroyed the Trump brand. He has destroyed the legacy he wanted to leave to them by pursuing his self-destructive desire to gain more publicity and more power. I don't believe they are taking this lightly.
