I hope there aren't any more Trump bombshells at this point...

...anything comparable to Pussygate, especially the N-word tape, if it exists, might just be the straw that breaks the camel's back, and force even Mr Egomania out of the race. That means Pence, or someone else, and the race might swerve off into unpredictability. As it is, Trump is--to coin a phrase--twisting slowly, slowly in the wind. The election is near to being in the bag. Any new factors thrown into the mix now can only upset a very favorable paradigm.

3. Timing. If it exists, best for it to come out a week to ten days before the election.

At that point, there is no way any change can be made to the ticket.

6. It is already too late for many states to change the ballot & early voting is already underway...

To get someone new on the ballot would require lawsuits in as many as 50 states and DC. Each day that goes by makes that less and less possible.

Trump isn't dropping out, and too many states have already started mail in voting and/or absentee voting.

7. They CAN'T force him out

and his ego will not let him get out even if they beg.

He hates the establishment Repukes almost as much as he hates the Democrats.

So the establishment is going to walk the tightrope... not piss off his deranged base by running too far away from him and, conversely, not piss off sane supporters by openly supporting a racist xenophobe sexual predator.

So... we have to tie him to them as much as possible and soon. They must be put into the position of having to call for Donald to withdraw and promising to support Hillary if he doesn't. It's political suicide but they will have to do it. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. If they call for him to leave, the insane "deplorables" will never forgive them and won't vote.

We win the White House, We win the Senate, we win the House.

Checkmate.

13. He cannot be replaced on the ballot, however, if he steps down the RNC can select his replacement,

and then try for a massive write-in campaign for that candidate. very low probability. There are a few other maneuvers they could also do, also with high odds against success.

If Trump stepped down their best chance would be for the RNC to back Gary Johnson

Even with that, it would still be an uphill climb for them, and as people get to know Hillary the momentum is changing in her direction more and more everyday

Most important thing regardless, is to GET OUT THE VOTE

12. First of all there is no indication that Trump would step down under any circumstances. However, if

he did, the procedure would be for the RNC to pick a replacement, and that replacement does NOT have to be Pence.

The problem for the republicans is that it is too late to change the ballots, so the only options they have is to appoint a replacement, and try for a massive nationwide write-in campaign. Very difficult, with overwhelming odds against it.

The other alternative they have is encourage people to vote for Trump/Pence, assuming Trump has stepped down, and for those states where that candidacy duo wins, convince the respective electors to vote for the RNC replacement. Again, very difficult, with overwhelming odds against it.

The best shot they would have if trump steps down is to align behind Gary Johnson

The bottom line, Trump is not going to step down, and last nights performance should have told you that

16. OMG YOU "DROPOUTERS" ARE MISSING THE KEY POINT

They can't remove Trump from the ballot at this point! Even if they did somehow get him to drop out, he'd remain on the ballot. People would need to pull the levers for Donald Trump with the promise that his electors will cast a ballot for Mike Pence/Ayn Rand/Jesus/Hitler or whomever the GOP finds as their next preferred choice.

All of that would make it impossible for him to win.

Stop biting your nails. It's not going to happen.
