Sen. Huckleberry Graham (R-S.C.) already using Benghazi for 2014 campaign materials

What an opportunistic, shameless hack:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is one of a small group of Republican senators calling for a Special Committee to investigate the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya. But he may be the first to run campaign ads on the issue ahead of the 2014 elections. These web ads via AmericaBlog:

Clicking on the petition brings the reader to a splash screen on Graham’s campaign website:

On Friday, Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) rejected the need for a Special Committee, noting that several committees in the House and Senate are already investigating the tragedy. Reid also called on Republicans to stop politicizing the tragedy and national security. “(E)lections are over; it is time to put an end to the partisan politicization of national security and begin working together to strengthen our efforts to dismantle and destroy the terrorist networks that threaten us,” he said in a letter to Graham’s ally Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) also see no need for the committee.

It is time to rise to the occasion, the GOP needs strong leaders and Graham has been a strong leader in the past. If this is the game he has to play to win election his state needs education.

they will be blaming the Democrats. They campaigned on the $716 billion cuts in Medicare for the last two years. It's a big part
of the reason the teabaggers took the House.

Your concern about the four Americans who died in Benghazi would be a lot more believable if your hypocrisy weren't so obvious. 3000 Americans died on American soil under George Bush's watch. Condoleezza Rice lied numerous times to the American people about mushroom clouds and wmds. Where was your outrage then?

Do you not get it? People are sick and tired of parties who place partisan gamesmanship over the good of the American people. You and McCain and the others could be working to solve the problems we have here in America. Instead you continue down the path of hate and divisiveness.

You are a disgrace to the American people. And personally, you disgust me.

It will eventually end their careers. McC is already looking like a crazy old coot, and Lindsay will look like a young one. Let them run with it with their tinfoil hats.
