Can we talk about what a sorry assed embarrassment and disgrace the Republican Party is?

Where to begin? Embarrassment and disgrace isn't harsh enough.

They nominated Donald J Trump for President of the United States.

I have to say that again because I don't believe.it. They nominated Donald J Trump for President of the United States. I still find that hard to believe.

I still hear them try ever so cleverly, they think, to slip in "Supply side economics." They can no longer use that name it seems but n9t a day goes by where I don't hear one of them say we have to cut taxes on the wealthy to grow the economy and thus raise taxes to pay debt. No one seems to have caught that when Pence said it at the debate. Of course the real outrage is tha5 they nominated Donald J Trump for President of the United States so an idea that plunged us into a Great Republican Depression pales in comparison.

They are back to their pathetic plantation argument telling me the policies I favor have not helped black people so I am racist and want to keep them on the Democratic plantation. Never mind that they have less than 1% of the black vote and that black people are integral to the Democratic Party. Never mind the Southern Strategy. Never mijd voter suppression. Never.mind the alt right. Nope, it's all my fault. I'm the racist right?

31% of them favor building a wall across the Atlantic Ocean to keep out Muslims.

Do they have one serious policy proposal beyond tax cuts for billionaires and more wars?

Birtherism, obstruction, climate science denial, reverse Roe v. Wade...

Mind boggling.

Trump has exposed the GOP as not only devoid of any viable solutions, but also as corrupt money grubbers. Empty rhetoric, long revealed as phoney-baloney and self-serving for the 1%ers. And that doesn't even cover the fear and hate-mongering to get the racists votes. I sure am hoping that more and more Americans can step forward and say that the emperor wears no clothes.

That states control voting in a Federal election for example.

The electoral college vs the popular vote.

Suppression attempts.

We end up with 4 year election news cycles. Endless nonsense largely. Issues are smothered by trite stories.

In reality, the GOP is made up of phony Christians, terrivle businessmen, and government-benefit-sucking parasites.

I don't deny that America needs a decent conservative voice to add pragmatism to progressive passion, but this GOP, the Republican Party as it is now, is not what this country needs. This GOP cares more about power than principle. They are our disloyal opposition. They want to destroy our government the minute they're not in charge of it. And when they do get elected, it's just more corruption on top of all their previous corruptions.

Today's GOP is nothing but a suicide note from white supremacy.
