I have a daughter who is hearing impaired--a vibrant, intelligent mother and software engineer. I remember when she began first grade and we had to have a meeting with the teachers. They expressed surprise that she could read so well ("we thought that she would be a big problem in this area&quot . I was shocked, and responded: she's hard of hearing, not stupid.

I have a beautiful niece who is also hearing impaired: a lawyer who works for tenant's rights. I know she's endured hurtful comments in the past.

Why should Marlee or any of these women (or men) have to face insensitive, stupid remarks from people like Donald Trump?

As a fan of "Seinfeld" I have the whole thing on DVD. Marlee guest starred on an episode, and in the "Inside Look" of it Julia Louis-Dreyfuss says of all the pretty guest star women Marlee was the one the male cast was most starry eyed about.
