Trump: Clinton walked in front of me and 'I wasn't impressed'

Donald Trump on Friday seemed to appraise Hillary Clinton's physical appearance at a rally, telling supporters that when he saw her walk in front of him during Sunday’s presidential debate he “wasn’t impressed.”

“I’m standing at my podium and she walks in front of me, right,” Trump said during a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina. “She walks in front of me, you know. And when she walked in front of me, believe me, I wasn’t impressed.”

Trump also lamented that President Barack Obama hasn’t had any sexual assault allegations thrown his way, despite campaigning against Trump.


“He’s talking about me like he knows me. I don’t know him,” Trump said. “He doesn’t know me. And why doesn’t some woman maybe come up and say what they say falsely about me? They could say it about him. They could say it about anybody.”

"In many ways the performances of Donald Trump remind me of male chimpanzees and their dominance rituals,"Jane Goodall, the world-famous primatologist and anthropologist, told the Atlantic's James Fallows for a piece posted Saturday.

Male chimpanzees try to impress rivals with aggressive behavior, Goodall said, such as stamping and throwing rocks. "The more vigorous and imaginative the display," the more likely it is that the chimp will rise atop the hierarchy and remain.
