2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThis is disgraceful and shameful.
First, wikileaks is a bunch of stolen communication. No different than if you go to your neighbor's mailbox and steal all their letters to find out what they are saying about you.
Second, this was stolen not by patriots or good people for good reasons, but by enemies to incite americans against one another.
Third, if there is something newsworthy - ie, someone was plotting an assassination, or overthrow of government or some huge fraudulent, deal, then there is some justification for talking or printing it as news.
When nothing like that is there, just reading all the juicy gossip and how business was conducted within the Clinton campaign and who was mean to who is just shameful. It is just beyond the pale. Yes, we all like to know more about celebrities but this is like peeping into their windows.
Why does no one ask the media about that?

(5,737 posts)It is the same as what you described. It was a criminal activity from the get-go, but until they started releasing this info, people put them on a pedestal. Common criminals.
