The three times Donald Trump demonstrated he was unfit for the presidency in last night’s debate

....

1) Refusing to say he would accept the election results if he lost. If you’re Donald Trump, or a Republican politician who has endorsed Donald Trump, this is not a good look for you:

....

2) Refusing to acknowledge the intelligence community’s consensus that Russia is responsible for hacking email accounts to interfere with this election. A joint DHS/ODNI statement makes the assessment of the intelligence community crystal clear. Trump was informed of this assessment as part of the intelligence briefings he receives as the GOP nominee. And yet this exchange took place last night:

....

3) Refusing to act like a mature adult. The moment this debate turned was when Clinton dropped this line in response to an immigration question: “When it comes to the wall that Donald talks about building, he went to Mexico, he had a meeting with the Mexican president. Didn’t even raise it. He choked and then got into a Twitter war because the Mexican president said we’re not paying for that wall.”

Clinton was obviously baiting Trump with that line — and yet, the baiting obviously worked. The moment Clinton said the word “choked,” Trump’s eyes narrowed into slits. Whatever self-control he’d managed to muster in the opening sections melted away. He melted down on the Putin jab. He said to Clinton “You’re the puppet! No, you’re the puppet!” sounding even more immature than usual. He kept interrupting her. He even challenged moderator Chris Wallace a few times. And then, at the very end of the debate, came this moment:

What a sorry, immature specimen of a human being.

Not only does he say it, he says it by interrupting her. He is like a fish in a barrel, way too easy to bait.

2 or 3 key mistakes by Trump that kept him from doing 'really well' or maybe even winning the night. Maybe because it makes for more drama that Trump came so close but just couldn't help himself?

I personally didn't see that Trump was doing well at any point. I saw complete domination throughout wrt to temperament, knowledge, answering questions, articulation, record, preparation...whatever measurement you might choose.

But because his bar is so low and because media wants a horserace or something 'even-handed' to say, they seem to be giving him credit for a good debate, minus a couple of mis-steps. At least, initially. Maybe coverage and re-review and analysis of polls will help them see that even if you take out the words 'nasty' and 'hombres' and 'rigged' that he still loses badly. Many lies, many Palin-esque word salad responses, many weird statements, constant pinched-face, stressed-out expressions, lack of policy detail...etc.

The only ones I saw last night who were willing to be clear about the extent of Trump's loss were Van Jones (he was VERY clear and upset), David Axelrod, and SE Cupp.

When it was announced that troops would be moving in how much would you want to bet there were drones and planes over head and on call 24/7 watching for movement. Id'ing isis and leaders where they were going in the city and watching if any tried to leave. They did allow some women to leave which were being held as sex slaves since they didn't want to kill innocents. But I'm pretty sure they were tracked and at first chance will try for a drone strike.
