Were only two and a half weeks from Election Day (not that I am counting the 17 days and 11 hours or anything). Candidates dont want to leave anything on the field or any ad unplayed so if you have money, and Hillary Clintons campaign does, you might start rolling them out.
The degree to which the GOP nominee is widely perceived as a liar is probably unprecedented. Banking on that understanding, Clinton has a very accurate, deadly take on her debate remark that a quick Google search will turn up evidence that Donald Trump was originally for the Iraq War:
She can also bank on plenty of voters knowing about Trumps attack on a Gold Star family. So here comes the poignant ad underscoring Trumps cruelty and bigotry:
At this point the persuadables for Clinton are essentially people who dont like her all that much. Reminding them how horrible Trump is, as the first two ads do, is one way to go about doing it.
Another way is through self-deprecation and honesty. Oprah Winfrey said it exactly right: I hear this all the time you get in conversations, and theres not a person in this room who hasnt been in the same conversation where people say, I just dont know if I like her. Winfrey continued: Shes not coming over to your house! You dont have to like her. Do you like this country? You better get out there and vote. Its a bit long for a bumper sticker, but You Only Have to Like America might fit.
