Think women aren't excited about Hillary? Think again.

Pundits like to claim that voters view her as unlikable and are unexcited about voting for her.

But that's not true for female voters or people of color. It's just the majority of white men who really dislike her. And the majority of white men don't like Democrats in general.

Early voting shows upsurge of women

In Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida, Democrats see uptick in women taking ballots as reason for optimism.

SNIP

On social media, the Clinton campaign has circulated video testimonials of women — including older white women, a demographic not always supportive of Democrats — talking about voting early, and there are plans in the works for other prominent women surrogates to underscore the importance of early voting. The campaign has also sent out mailers directly targeted at women. Clinton’s operation employs several hundred people in North Carolina to focus on voter contact, and encouraging women to vote early is a central goal.

I saw an article recently saying that Clinton voters are excited, but just not the type to make a lot of noise. POC and women who love her are the new silent majority.

gusto voting Hillary!! I'm proud to cast my vote for the first woman Commander-in-Chief. A great sight, one I can't wait for, will be President Obama with President-Elect Hillary Rodham Clinton at the White House! 😄😅🤗

though we both hate caucuses and have only gone one other time. And our precinct went for Hillary by one vote -- so I told him he was the tiebreaker.

5. The pundits are full of it when it comes to Hillary. Too many of them still treat the GOP ....

...as the default party against which everything else must be measured. Trump should do this. Trump really meant to say that. Trump's chances to overcome Hillary's double digit lead. How can Trump capture white suburban women?

Christ on a trailer hitch, I find this constant tropism toward the GOP to be both disingenuous and wearying.

8. The media insists on claiming Hillary is "unlikable"

They continue to interview Trumps supporters that love him and hate her. How about some interviews with Hillary's past associates and co-workers. The all claim she is funny, smart, hardworking, qualified, empathetic, quick witted, and mostly everyone really likes her. But it doesn't benefit the news to tell all those stories. So, once more, they draw the false equivalency that Hillary is disliked as much as trump. Just not true.

9. I was not excited about Hillary.

I was for Sanders. After the nomination, I had my moment of thinking, Well, I'm just not voting. Hillary's better than Trump, but she'll beat him easily without me. I wasn't that concerned about getting our first female president right this moment.

But then the Trump nightmare just kept getting worse.

I still wouldn't vote for just anyone simply because they were female, but the despicable misogyny of Trump and his supporters has made it a greater priority for me. In addition to the fact that she has proven herself to be a better candidate than I'd expected, the fact that she is a woman is now a large part of why I am definitely, enthusiastically, voting for her.

Fuck you, Trump.
